Divinity by Larian is practically ready in key aspects - scenarios and companions
Fans of Larian Studios, the authors of Baldur's Gate 3, have a reason to optimistically await the new installment of Divinity after the high-profile AI story. The head of the studio, Sven Vincke, said that work on the script is at an advanced stage.
Most of the companions who will join the player's squad have not only been written, but have also been cast. The developers want to repeat the success of the previous game, where well-written companions became a key part of the entire adventure.
But the fact that the roles have already been assigned does not mean that their images are final. According to Vincke, the process of creating heroes remains flexible and resembles the approach used in the development of Baldur’s Gate. Actors strongly influence the final image of the characters: often their personality or manner of playing forces the authors to change the script in order to better adapt the hero to the performer.
Divinity will feature romantic storylines. The studio has once again brought in professional intimacy coordinators to ensure the comfort of the actors during the recording of more daring episodes. Vincke did not go into details, but noted that some relationships in the game will be "very intimate," hinting at mature and deep connections between the characters.
