The EFT holiday update didn't go very smoothly.
A major update 1.0.1.0 has been released for Escape from Tarkov. Soon, players began complaining about server availability issues, but the developers were able to quickly fix the technical problems.
Some new features and improvements:
- Kolotun is a holiday event, a new achievement has appeared for completing the quest chain. The event is available in the PVP and PvE Zone.
- Improved player matching system — changes have been made to the match collection system aimed at “reducing the waiting time for the start of the raid and improving feedback and interface transparency during loading into the raid.”
- The M110, 7.62mm Semi-Automatic Sniper System (SASS) semi-automatic sniper rifle and a set of modifications for it have appeared;
- Scenes of communication with merchants outside the premises have been updated to winter ones;
- Added USEC Gold Squadron and BEAR Senezh customization sets, which are available for purchase on the official Escape from Tarkov website;
- A number of equipment items for the winter season have been added and updated;
- A number of streamer items have been added.
Balance adjustments:
- Changes have been made to the tasks of the “Test Drive” line;
- For the “Collector” task, requirements for finding new streamer items have been added;
- Changes have been made to the “Forester's Duty” task;
- Changes have been made related to the prohibition of compatibility of headgear with masks and headphones;
- Changes have been made to the experience modifier from the number of transitions made/
Incorrect headshot registration has been fixed if the player moves while sitting with the body tilted to the left
