An enthusiast from China got tired of switching between three consoles for the sake of each platform's exclusives.
A Chinese enthusiast under the nickname XNZ has combined PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch 2 into a single device. The DIY "all-in-one" console was named Ningtendo PXBOX 5.
The idea was born out of simple frustration: XNZ was tired of constantly switching between three consoles for exclusive games. Inspired by the internal design of the Apple Mac Pro, where components are arranged in a triangular pattern, she decided to apply the same idea to her project. This format proved ideal for the compact placement of three systems.
Each motherboard is mounted on a separate side of the triangle. The modder discarded the original power supplies and cooling systems: instead, she developed a unified system with a metal radiator and a shared fan installed in the center at the bottom.
A single 250-watt power supply unit powers all three consoles. According to XNZ's calculations, this is sufficient provided that only one system is used at a time: under load, the PS5 and Xbox Series X consume up to 225 W, and in idle mode — less than 5 W. Switching between consoles and video output is implemented using Arduino — a large button on the case changes the active platform in about three seconds.
Thus, XNZ can now switch on the fly between her favorite exclusives of each platform without prior preparation or fumbling with cables and connectors — at least for her, the console war has ended here.
