Thousands of Steam players urge Valve to add a useful feature for achievements, following the example of Sony PlayStation

Players have been asking Valve for years to introduce a separation of DLC achievements and the main game.

For many years, Steam users have been asking Valve to address the issue with the achievement system. In January, a new round of such appeals began, launched by Advanced-Climate-574.

Achievement hunters are unhappy that after the release of add-ons, new achievements are recorded in the "general" category, which deprives players of the perfect 100% completion statistic.

Users note that this problem has been solved in the PlayStation "trophy" system — on the Sony platform, achievements are separated.

There is a "main game", and there are separate sets of achievements for each add-on. Even if DLC is released after the release, players will still have "100% achievements" in the main game.

The publication by Advanced-Climate-574 has already been supported by more than 30 users. Some participants in the discussion noted another problem.

Sometimes developers add achievements to games not only for single-player games, but also for co-op / multiplayer, while the servers may be turned off, and in this case, "knocking out 100% achievements" becomes impossible. Players believe that online achievements should be выделять in a separate category or deleted after the server is turned off.
