Work on versions for Xbox and Nintendo consoles is already underway.
Game director of the seventh part of Final Fantasy remake, Naoki Hamaguchi, assured players that the Switch 2 version of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will offer the same gaming experience as on other platforms.
Hamaguchi emphasized that he adheres to a personal principle — not to make different versions of the same game depending on the hardware. He noted that he does not consider it correct to offer "a different gaming experience just because the game is released on a different platform".
In an interview with Nintendo, Hamaguchi confirmed that Rebirth, as well as the third, yet unannounced part of the FF7 remake, are in development for Switch 2. At the same time, production is underway in parallel for other platforms, and the development itself, according to him, is progressing steadily.
