With the help of the tabletop card game "Emblems," Russian-speaking gamers will soon be able to find out what noble families are willing to do for glory, power, and coveted gold.
Representatives of the Evrikus publishing house announced that they intend to release "Emblems" in Russia — a tabletop card strategy game for 3–5 participants that scored 7.7 out of 10 on BoardGameGeek.
Players will have to watch as five noble families battle for the throne and influence across three regions after the king's death.
During a match lasting 15–30 minutes, each participant receives a set of cards belonging to their family. At the beginning of the round, everyone draws six cards into their hand. Then players secretly choose one card from their hand and place it face down in front of themselves. After that, they take turns revealing the played cards and placing them in one of the regions, activating an immediate effect if one is provided.
Cards are placed strictly in order of their strength. At the end of the round, the effects marked as "at the end of the round" are triggered, after which the income phase begins. Usually, the strongest cards in each region receive income according to the conditions of the region card. After playing 3 rounds, players will have to count their coins — whoever has the most will become the new king, and the emblem of their family will be known by every resident of the kingdom.
Each character has a unique effect: some steal coins from opponents, others move cards between regions, still others double income or even cancel other players' abilities.
Evrikus is already working on the files. The team expects the print run to be released in autumn 2026.
