Head of Embark Studios Patrick Soderlund recently stated in an interview that ARC Raiders will not receive absurd crossovers and skins. According to him, the studio does not want to sacrifice the integrity of the artistic vision and the overall theme of the game for the sake of quick money.
ARC Raiders features a well-defined post-apocalyptic atmosphere that can be traced in all elements of the visual style — including cosmetics. Even those skins that are perceived ambiguously by the audience remain grounded, authentic and organically fit into the world of the game. That is why any collaborations with third-party brands look like a dubious idea, unless they are logically justified from the point of view of the lore.
In some games, you can be a pink banana, and everyone thinks it's okay. In ARC Raiders, the world is more carefully built, with a well-thought-out lore, so we have to stick to certain boundaries
