As the release of Styx: Blades of Greed on February 19 approaches, Cyanide studio reveals details about the game. The creator of the series and game director Julien Desurtre said in an interview that the PS5 Pro version will not use the console's additional performance for improved graphics.
Our main focus was the PS5, so we didn't specifically adapt the game for PS5 Pro. However, its additional power ensures smooth operation in any situation, which is a great bonus for players.
As for PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) support, Styx: Blades of Greed will use the built-in Temporal Super Resolution (TSR) of the Unreal Engine 5, which is already doing a good job with the studio's tasks
Styx: Blades of Greed will be a sequel to Styx: Shards of Darkness (2017). The game promises freedom of action, vertical levels, new tools and abilities for the main character.
