Ubisoft is developing several installments of Far Cry and Assassin's Creed

The company has big plans for well-known franchises.

Ubisoft recently carried out several rounds of layoffs. Against this background, the company's boss, Yves Guillemot, spoke with Variety.

During the interview, he noted that Ubisoft is currently working on two "very promising" projects in the Far Cry franchise.

Assassin's Creed has not been forgotten either: active work is underway on several projects. However, the head of Ubisoft did not specify exactly how many.

Guillemot did not comment in detail on the cancellation of The Sands of Time remake, but clarified that Prince of Persia "remains a beloved and active brand and continues to play an important role in our portfolio of creative studios and long-term strategy."
