On February 24, the game received a major update called Shrouded Sky.
Embark Studios has released a major update for ARC Raiders called Shrouded Sky — the largest in 2026 so far. The update significantly expands the game content, but at the same time introduces noticeable changes to the PvP component of the project.
Shrouded Sky adds two new ARC class opponents, a new weather condition "Hurricane", and additional missions to the game. In addition, a new game zone has appeared on the Dam Battlegrounds map — one of the most popular locations.
However, not all changes are related to the addition of content. In the patch description, the developers announced the removal of PvP-oriented mini-challenges, for completing which players receive credits to progress in the Raider Deck (an analogue of the free battle pass).
Previously, such tasks included, for example, dealing damage to other players with a certain type of ammunition or searching defeated raiders. These activities encouraged an aggressive style of play and direct clashes between users. Now such tasks are completely excluded.
The studio also noted that they have reworked some of the existing challenges and added new ones, but without a clear emphasis on PvP.
