Full Version of RPG "YAR: Forgotten Throne" Released on Steam - Featuring Koschei, Zmey Gorynych, Baba Yaga, and More

The Russian RPG has finally been brought to release.

In early April, the full version of the Russian role-playing game "YAR: Forgotten Throne" (or YAR: Forgotten Throne) was released on PC via Steam. Previously, the project was known as "Ancient Rus'.

Early access started in 2024, and during this time, a series of major updates were released for the game with content, mechanic improvements, and graphics.

Now "YAR: Forgotten Throne" is available on Steam Deck in two modes — DirectX12 and DirectX11.

Some other changes in the recent patch:

  • Added option to disable/enable vibration.
  • Added option to hide hints in the left corner.
  • Added option to completely hide quests from the screen.
  • The cold area has been slightly moved towards Khladny Yar so that it does not interfere in the forest to the right of the river.
  • The river on the western island is working again.
  • After the battle against Zmey Gorynych, health and mana are now restored to 100%

The developer also noted:

The problem that could cause the character to die from the start during a very long loading time in a new game has probably been fixed. This is not certain, as it is impossible to track down, but I think I understood what caused it, and I did everything to prevent it from happening again.
