Gamer boasted about early access to GTA VI, then complained about PC performance issues
The player was not at all embarrassed that the PC version of GTA VI hadn't even received a release window.

However, there is a high demand for a PC version, and various scammers are taking advantage of this. Recently, a story went viral in GTA fan communities about a gamer who thought he had managed to get early access to the new installment of the franchise.
First, NotAGoat3 mocked critics and stated
"Your leaks are fake, there are no insiders." Oh really? Guess who just got early access to the game.
As proof, he published a GTA VI "installer" — he wasn't bothered by the fact that the PC version didn't even have a release window.
Soon, the same user NotAGoat3 created a thread on a forum dedicated to computer viruses — his PC started glitching after launching the "installer".
Downloaded an installer from someone I thought was reliable, ran it — then a cmd window opened for a split second, and now the computer is very slow. After rebooting, logging in took over a minute, which never happened before. I don't need your lectures, I need help! The Windows key stopped working, as did the search bar, and there's a strange "trail" when I move the cursor. I want to know if this can be fixed without a full system reset, because I don't want to reinstall everything. So far there are no pop-ups — just the computer is slow and search doesn't work.
The release of Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled for November 2026 — the game will be released on consoles, with the PC version expected later.
