
Modder Made GTA: San Andreas Graphics More Realistic - Showed Improved Lighting and Shadows
Various enthusiasts continue to experiment with Rockstar classics and introduce new technologies into the game.
Recently, modder "Junior_Djjr - MixMods" released an update for the graphical modification "[SA]Proper Shaders" for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. His mod makes the visuals in the Rockstar Games title more realistic.
He implemented deferred rendering with per-pixel lighting into the game and uses NVIDIA PCSS to improve the image quality, which enhances shadow quality. There is support for SSAO and HBAO (for ambient occlusion).

The modder emphasizes that "[SA]Proper Shaders" is designed for gameplay, not just for taking beautiful screenshots:
