It is reported that the pre-production and scriptwriting phase for the fourth season will begin this autumn, with filming starting in early 2027.
This aligns with the project's usual pace and means that the fourth season can be expected in late 2028 or early 2029. For now, viewers await the third season, which will take place several years after the second season's finale. The story will move to the period of the war between the elves and Sauron, who will be busy creating the One Ring, intended to bend Middle-earth to his will.
