Head of Treyarch steps down. Mark Gordon worked at the studio for 22 years
All Xbox gaming divisions continue to be shaken after Asha Sharma's words about reshuffles.
Treyarch announced the departure of Mark Gordon from his position as head. The company veteran, who dedicated 22 years of his career to Treyarch, decided to leave the studio and focus on a new stage of his life.
In an official statement, the team thanked Gordon for his many years of leadership, noting his contribution not only to the development of the studio itself but also to the formation of its corporate culture. Over the years, he participated in the creation of many Call of Duty series projects — from Call of Duty 2: Big Red One and Call of Duty 3 to Call of Duty: World at War and all games in the Call of Duty: Black Ops line.
In its statement, Treyarch emphasized that Gordon's influence on the franchise was "invaluable," and his leadership helped the studio become one of the key divisions working on the Call of Duty series.
Simultaneously with the announcement of his resignation, a new studio management structure was revealed. Treyarch's leadership will pass to two experienced employees — Kevin Hendrickson and Yale Miller, who will take on the roles of co-studio heads. Both have many years of experience working on the franchise and previously held leadership positions in development.
Treyarch expressed confidence that the new leadership duo will be able to maintain the studio's creative ambitions and continue the development of one of the most successful series in the video game industry.
