Development of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is almost complete, judging by job openings at Naughty Dog
Not long ago, Jason Schreier said that Sony's management was not very happy with the pace of work at Neil Druckmann's studio.
Naughty Dog may be preparing for the imminent completion of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet's development. This is indicated by the studio's fresh job openings, which hint at the game transitioning to one of the final stages of production.
The studio is looking for employees with knowledge of French, Portuguese, German, Italian, and Korean. Typically, this stage of localization testing begins closer to the end of core development, when the content is almost ready and it's necessary to check the quality of translation, voice acting, and the game's correct functioning in different languages.
Although there are still no official release dates, rumors point to a release around mid-2027.
Such timelines also align with previous Naughty Dog releases. The original versions of The Last of Us Part II, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, and The Last of Us Part I were also released or targeted for a mid-year release.
