Weta Workshop announced the Great Goblin statue from "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey"

The Great Goblin from "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," the chieftain of the Misty Mountains orcs and a character with a memorable appearance, will receive a new 14-centimeter statue from Weta Workshop.

Weta Workshop announced a statue of the Great Goblin from "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," made of polystone and polyurethane. It stands 14 cm tall, 11.5 cm wide, 10.5 cm deep, and weighs 0.52 kg.

This collectible item, for which Daniel Holland created the digital sculpture, captures every terrifying detail of the character's unique anatomy. Drawing on the extensive reference materials used by Weta Workshop during the films' production, the sculptor meticulously recreated the Great Goblin's sagging, sickly flesh and his imposing physical presence with astonishing accuracy.

The paint application emphasizes the grotesque realism of the sculpture: layers of unhealthily pale flesh, bruised undertones, and sickly yellow hues vividly bring the creature to life.

The composition is completed by the Great Goblin's crude symbols of power: a bone crown adorning his deformed head, a gnarled wooden staff topped with a composite skull, and dried trophies hanging below as a grim reminder of past sacrifices.

Beneath his feet is a crooked wooden platform, bound with rope and strewn with bones. It serves as a fitting base for the self-proclaimed king. Repulsive yet unmistakably memorable, the Great Goblin will be a standout addition to any collection.

It is currently unknown when pre-orders for the statue will open, how much it will cost, or how long the wait will be until its release.
