Genshin Impact flickers in Snezhnaya and glitches after update 7.0 release - miHoYo presented first fixes

News

In August, Genshin Impact developers released update 7.0 "Merciless Frost". Soon, players began reporting technical issues.

miHoYo (HoYoverse) responded to feedback and presented the first fixes.

For example, the developers fixed a bug where the display density of eternal ice creatures in some areas of Snezhnaya was "abnormally high".

In the Archon Quest "Merciless Frost", at the stage "Use eternal ice creatures to raise the door", a section of eternal ice that can be repeatedly destroyed was added. The game creators explained that this fixes a bug where, in certain cases, there was no eternal ice left to destroy in the quest area, making it impossible to fill the eternal ice bar and continue the quest.

Genshin Impact developers noted that on PCs with Intel Iris Xe series graphics cards, screen flickering may occur when entering the Snezhnaya territory. Players experiencing this issue are advised to install the latest version of the graphics card driver and restart the device. After that, the image should display correctly.

Other known issues that are promised to be fixed "in one of the next updates":

  • In the cutscene of the Archon Quest "Nocturne of Dead Souls", Miti's element icon is displayed incorrectly (it should display "Starfall Blade: Electro")
  • On some Android devices, during certain dialogues of the Archon Quests "Merciless Frost" and "Nocturne of Dead Souls", incorrect patterns may appear on Sandrone's and Miti's faces.
