The creator of The Last Night stated that when the game is released, it "will not be as groundbreaking as originally intended" - it was announced almost 10 years ago

Work on the game is slowly progressing.

Recently, the creator of The Last Night reminded everyone about himself again. Tim Soret shared news about the project on social media.

According to the developer, the difficult period should end soon:

Next month, if all goes to plan, I should finally emerge from a decade of sacrifice and deprivation. The time has come. I am just beginning. I have much to offer the world.

Tim Soret thanked angel investors and investors for their support. He spent a lot of time developing an independent studio and compared himself to Matthew McConaughey's character from the movie "Interstellar" — referring to the moment about "a small maneuver that will cost 51 years":

I am grateful to my angels and investors who helped us resist the temptation to drink from a poisoned well in the middle of the desert while we paved the way to independence. Many companies rest in the graveyard of indie studios, having been lured by the mirages of security, agreed to an acquisition — only to be destroyed in the first storm.

Tim Soret admitted that the development of The Last Night has been delayed. A lot of time has passed since the initial announcement, and the game will no longer be as groundbreaking, but, as the author believes, this will benefit it:

When The Last Night is released, the game will no longer be as groundbreaking as originally intended. But we have traded visionary for relevance. Thanks to the fact that technological development and social dynamics ominously accurately coincided with the trajectory we foresaw, the atmosphere and story of the game will resonate with the audience.
