Filming of "The Brave and the Bold" about Batman and Damian Wayne is planned to start in 2027 - insider
James Gunn may personally direct the filming due to Andy Muschietti's busy schedule.
DC Studios expects to begin filming "Batman: The Brave and the Bold" in 2027. Insider Jeff Sneider revealed this on The Hot Mic podcast. According to his information, work on the project has progressed further than the lack of official news might suggest.
However, Sneider is not sure that Andy Muschietti will retain the director's chair. The insider suggests that DC Studios head James Gunn might personally direct the film. Similar information has previously come from other sources: according to them, after the success of "It: Welcome to Derry," Muschietti became highly sought after within Warner Bros.

"Batman: The Brave and the Bold" will introduce its own version of the Dark Knight into the main DC cinematic universe. The story will focus on Bruce Wayne and his son Damian, who grew up among assassins and became the new Robin.
The film does not yet have a release date. James Gunn previously stated that it would not be released in theaters in the same year as Matt Reeves' "The Batman Part II," which is scheduled to premiere on February 18, 2028.
