Xbox, without announcements and unnecessary fuss, postponed the release of the PS5 version of Forza Horizon 6 - Media

Sony fans won't be able to drive sports cars in Japan this year.

It seems Microsoft has changed its plans regarding the release of Forza Horizon 6 on PS5. Initially, the port of the racing hit was supposed to appear on the Sony console by the end of 2026, but, according to new information, the release may have been postponed to a later date.

Microsoft has not yet officially commented on the situation. However, The Verge journalist Tom Warren reported on social media that the PS5 version of Forza Horizon 6 is no longer part of Microsoft's plans for 2026. IGN sources also confirmed that this information is accurate.

One possible reason for the postponement could be that the PS5 version simply wasn't ready.

There are no signs of a complete cancellation of the PS5 version yet. Moreover, Xbox head Asha Sharma previously stated that Microsoft intends to adhere to a multiplatform strategy for already announced games. Therefore, the most likely scenario is a postponement, not a cancellation of the port.
