Recently, the developers of the PlayStation 3 emulator called "RPCS3" announced a new technical achievement. They managed to run one of the console exclusives at a high frame rate.
According to the creators of RPCS3, Twisted Metal reached 70 FPS on PC for the first time:
The result was obtained on a "Max Performance" build on a PC with an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor and Linux operating system. This splash screen is an excellent and stable in-game benchmark that allows evaluating performance directly in the game. Some of the optimizations used are still "in development."

By "Max Performance," RPCS3 developers mean a PC with Linux, an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, an AMD RX 7800 XT or NVIDIA RTX 4070 level graphics card, 16 GB of RAM, and an SSD.
Earlier, the creators of the RPCS3 emulator reported that they were able to achieve a significant performance boost on NVIDIA graphics cards – a solution was found to bypass a specific driver-related issue (AMD does not have this bug).
