Yakuza Creators Reveal Stranger Than Heaven Characters - Including Snoop Dogg and Tupac

Sega and RGG Studio have revealed the characters for Stranger Than Heaven, including heroes voiced by Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur, with the game set to release on January 15, 2027.

The plot of Stranger Than Heaven will span 50 years of history. The main character will be Makoto Daito (Yu Shirota), a half-Japanese, half-American who travels to Japan after being persecuted in the USA. There he meets Yu Shinjo (Dean Fujioka), a half-Japanese, half-British man with a similar fate.

One of the most unusual characters will be Orpheus, played by Snoop Dogg, a traveling merchant with a not entirely legal business. Upon discovering Daito on his ship, he helps him settle in Japan and notices his musical talent.

Music will be an important part of the story. The game will feature pianist Takashi, artist Suzy Day (Tori Kelly), and Osaka diva Keiko Shirai (Ado). Among the criminal characters are yakuza Tadashi Hataoka, boss Genzo Iwaki, and his right-hand man Tetsuya Hama.

The game will also feature The Veiled Stranger (Cordell Broadus) and Amaru, who resembles Tupac Shakur.

Stranger Than Heaven will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and will also be available on Game Pass.
