Battling dinosaurs in Turok: Origins proved too difficult for the Xbox Series S. However, Saber Interactive is not going to give up and has already developed a plan to keep the game playable on the Microsoft platform.
Late last year, it became known that Saber Interactive is working on Turok: Origins to give the franchise a new lease of life. The project is being created as a third-person game with the option of single-player or online co-op.
The game will be a prequel to the original trilogy and will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. But the experience will not be the same on all platforms.
At Gamescom, game director Jesus Iglesias told WCCFTech that the game on consoles will run at 60 frames per second. The goal will be achieved on PS5 and Xbox Series X, but this is not possible on the weaker Microsoft console.
The developer admitted that despite their best efforts, the team was unable to deliver the expected smoothness. Therefore, Turok: Origins on Xbox Series S will run at 30 fps.
