According to SteamDB, Mecha Break's situation is getting worse. The Chinese free-to-play game started with impressive results — over 132,000 concurrent players. But after two months, the peak activity dropped to 6,000 people.
The forecasts for the project remain poor: players are leaving, and the average rating on Steam is only 59% positive reviews.
The main problem for Mecha Break right now is the lack of game content. The battles of giant robots lack depth and, above all, a variety of maps. The developers recently participated in Gamescom 2025, but did not announce any specific new features at the exhibition.
The gaming community notes that the free model does not save from a rapid decline in popularity without regular updates. Mecha Break needs to expand its mechanics and content, otherwise the project risks completely losing players.
