Halls of Torment, an auto-battler in the style of Vampire Survivors, has reached a significant milestone — over 1 million copies have been sold on Steam, and the game is preparing for release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Developer Chasing Carrots announced that the console version launch is accompanied by the paid DLC The Boglands, which will add new stages, heroes, quests, abilities, and equipment.
The game combines the isometric style of Diablo with pixel graphics and the bullet-hell chaos of Vampire Survivors. Players embark on 30-minute runs, collecting gold and loot, trying to survive. The release date of the console version has not yet been announced, only "soon" is indicated.
In The Boglands DLC, players will find themselves on a swampy level with insects, spirits, and ancient trees, where survival is more important than time. Two new heroes will appear: The Crone, who summons plants to entangle enemies and spreads "Decay". The Alchemist throws mixtures with elemental powers — fire, ice, lightning, or earth. Players can expect more than 50 quests, new abilities and equipment, six artifacts to modify stages, expanded traits, blessings, and new ways to die.
