Starting today, the adventure in a galaxy far, far away is also available to Nintendo Switch 2 owners. Players will be able to take the space story with them and check the game's performance on the new portable device.
The first gameplay footage and tests of the Switch 2 version have already appeared online. They allow players to see how the game looks on the portable platform and whether it is worth buying this version.
Tests show that the developers have done a decent job adapting the project for Switch 2. Of course, there are predictable simplifications — fewer NPCs, reduced detail of the environment and textures, but many limitations are compensated by the graphics. The visual differences with versions for large consoles are minimal.
Performance is maintained at a stable 30 fps, and in some scenes the game runs even better than on the Xbox Series S. The only downside is the loading of levels, which is almost twice as slow as on the Microsoft device.
Blogger ElAnalistaDeBits notes that Star Wars Outlaws on Switch 2 is one of the best ports on the platform. Thanks to the efficient use of Snowdrop Engine and attention to detail, the version deserves a recommendation for Star Wars fans.
