Bloober Team is preparing for the release of Cronos: The New Dawn, which will become the studio's largest new franchise. CEO Piotr Babieno discussed the future of the project and the studio's plans after release in an interview.
Babieno noted that there are no plans for a sequel to Cronos: The New Dawn yet, but external companies are showing interest in expanding the universe. Among them are Hollywood studios and streaming services wishing to collaborate with the studio on a screen adaptation.
"We are seeing interest from major Hollywood players, both film studios and streaming platforms, who would like to work with Bloober on the Cronos universe."
At the same time, the studio has already begun pre-production on a new project. According to the director, the game will be "very large" and will continue Bloober Team's strategy: each subsequent project is larger than the previous one.
"We are a specialized studio, and everything we have learned on previous projects, including Silent Hill 2 and Cronos, is used in the development of new games. This allows us to create large projects without unnecessary costs and time."
Bloober Team is betting on a unique experience for players, unavailable in any other game or entertainment. Cronos: The New Dawn will be released on September 5th on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
