The final season of the anime “My Hero Academia” premieres on October 4, but Netflix is not abandoning its plans to create a film adaptation and has already decided on the screenwriter for the upcoming movie.
Netflix and Legendary have found a screenwriter for the feature adaptation of one of the most famous shonen anime of recent years — “My Hero Academia”. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jason Fuchs, who previously participated in the creation of “Wonder Woman” with Gal Gadot, as well as the HBO series “It: Welcome to Derry”, will work on the script for the future film.
Shinsuke Sato, known for his work on “Kingdom”, “Bleach”, “Death Note” and “Alice in Borderland”, is still in the director's chair.
It is not yet reported when filming will begin and when the film will be released, but with the arrival of the screenwriter, the production of the project, announced back in 2022, is obviously moving off the ground.
