Borderlands 4 was released and quickly became a bestseller, but the technical condition of the game raises questions. The first patches from Gearbox did not fix all the errors, and the studio still has serious work to do. At the same time, the head of the company, Randy Pitchford, stated that the fault lies not with the developers, but with the players.
Fans did not wait for official updates. The first modifications have already appeared, designed to increase comfort. Ultimate Engine Tweaks improves performance without noticeable damage to graphics, and Borderlands Optimizer reduces freezes by optimizing shader compilation and streaming resource loading.
The popularity of mods is growing: Ultimate Engine Tweaks has collected 127 thousand views and more than 33 thousand downloads on Nexus Mods. Borderlands Optimizer showed 50 thousand views and more than 12 thousand downloads.
These solutions do not cut visual settings and are aimed at maximizing the use of PC resources. But the result depends on the configuration: for some players, performance increases significantly, while for others there are almost no changes. In rare cases, mods can cause errors that are resolved by deleting the file.
