Sloclap has unveiled details of the first major patch for the online football game Rematch. The Season 1 Patch primarily targets the elimination of a popular bug known as the "ippy slide," which allowed players to gain an unnatural advantage when dribbling quickly.
Simultaneously, the behavior of goalkeepers has been corrected, animations and graphics have been improved, and changes have been made to the interface and workshop.
The update has been released in beta on Steam, and the official version will be available on September 23, 2025, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The developers note that the list of innovations is extensive, and some of them will continue to be developed in future patches.
The list of changes includes not only the weakening of the "ippy slide" but also new calculations for goalkeeper animations, eliminating the possibility of catching the ball inside the goal, improving movements during bicycle kicks and aerial duels. The game will feature more transparency in Ball Touch and Push Ball, improvements have been added to the "Protect Ball" and "Toro" workshops, and the settings for custom matches have been expanded. New music now plays in the menu, more data has appeared in the statistics and final screens, and the community panel has received new functions for managing friends. The field lines, environment materials, and character hair have also been improved, and textures, effects, and sound have been optimized.
This is the first major update since the release and a signal that the authors are ready to respond to the wishes of the audience. Players can expect not only balance but also additional content, as well as improved stability.
