White Wolf Brand Manager Jason Carl and Bloodlines 2 Narrative Director Ian Thomas discussed the game's plot and world during Gamescom 2025.
Players will be able to freely move around Seattle: the map will feature 6–9 key locations, some related to the main plot, and others to side quests. The protagonist gains temporary recognition in the Camarilla, which opens up the opportunity to explore the city with virtually no restrictions.
The movement system is inspired by the tabletop role-playing game Vampire: The Masquerade: vampires can use blood for superhuman actions — climbing walls, jumping over roofs, breaking through walls. Older and stronger vampires are capable of even more. The game emphasizes the feeling of power and predation: the fastest way to move is across rooftops, in order to not violate the Masquerade and attract the attention of mortals.
The main theme of the plot is the eternal struggle of a vampire with humanity. The hero, as an ancient vampire, has lost some of his human feelings, while Fabian, a young character, retains an interest in people. The player decides which image to demonstrate: a powerful, self-confident predator, or follow Fabian's example and explore the world, marveling at the new.
Starting with an already powerful vampire will allow you to immediately immerse yourself in the political intrigues of Seattle. The character becomes a catalyst for events, and the player's decisions affect the city and the outcome of the story.
