The lifting of the embargo led to a flurry of reviews and comparisons, and blogger ElAnalistaDeBits presented a detailed analysis of the PS5 and PS5 Pro versions, noting significant differences.
On the standard PS5, the game offers two modes. "Quality" runs at 2160p at 30 frames per second, but the rendering starts from approximately 720p with subsequent upscaling. "Performance" provides 60 fps with dynamic scaling from 360–720p to 1800p, sacrificing the quality of shadows, effects, and resolution.
On the PS5 Pro, only one preset is available — 2160p at 60 fps. The base resolution remains at 720p, and PSSR upscaling leads to visual noise, as already noted in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and Silent Hill 2 Remake.
Even with low clarity, the project holds attention with its atmosphere and the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5. Both consoles maintain the declared fps, but transitions between 30 fps cutscenes and 60 fps gameplay look abrupt.
According to experts, achieving stable 60 frames on the PS5 was only possible through serious compromises — a drop in resolution to 360p in real rendering. ElAnalistaDeBits believes that a fixed 1080p would have provided a much more balanced quality.
