Game director of Resident Evil: Requiem, Koshi Nakanishi, stated that he is not annoyed by information leaks about the series and even sees a positive aspect in it. According to him, it shows the high interest of fans in Capcom's projects and their desire to learn as much as possible about the future of the game.
At the same time, he noted that some people should be more careful about leaks and data from unofficial sources, because you can't criticize the company for the discrepancy with rumors about the game that are spreading outside the studio. Nakanishi said:
"Personally, I see it as a positive sign: fans are so interested that they want to see information that has not yet been revealed, discuss and speculate online. This shows their passion and involvement."
For the game director, this is also an indicator that the audience is ready to buy the game, but not all rumors are true, and the correctness of the information will become known only after the release.
Regarding the possible deliberate dissemination of false information, Nakanishi noted that there are already enough rumors, and producer Kumazawa added that leaks do not bother him, but it is annoying when fans perceive unofficial information as official.
"They form an idea of the game based on rumors, and then perceive the discrepancy as betrayal, although we never promised this. This is the problem - rumors in their head become the truth."
