Non-player characters now have memories.
Streamer and modder Blurbs has created a mod that gives NPCs in Red Dead Redemption 2 their own "memories" that appear at the moment of their death. The goal of the mod is to create "maximum guilt" for the player.
The idea for the mod came from a suggestion from a viewer when Blurbs asked fans to share their "worst ideas." As a result, the streamer modified the game, adding a "cinematic" mode: before an NPC dies, the camera zooms in on the character in slow motion, showing their "memories." To do this, Blurbs recorded a series of flashbacks and programmed the game to load these "memories" upon the death of an NPC.
Blurbs entrusted the writing of the scripts to the Twitch chat. As a result, the dialogues turned out to be absurd, with references to memes, the anime One Piece, baseball, video games, and other oddities.
I think I made a mistake letting Twitch chat write the scripts.
