NVIDIA has enough critics, but one thing cannot be denied — the company is good at promoting DLSS technology. A new test from the MxBenchmark channel showed how far the upscaling technology has advanced.
Previously, DLSS worked best in 4K, and 1440p resolution was considered problematic for algorithms. But with the release of DLSS 4, the picture in 1440p began to look much clearer. The video demonstrates how improved upscaling not only increases the frame rate, but also eliminates the shortcomings of TAA.
In DLSS 4 Quality mode, the image is more stable than at native resolution with TAA. At 5:20, it is especially visible how in Silent Hill 2 Remake the new technology literally "destroys" standard rendering.
Even Performance mode shows decent results, and in 4K the quality sometimes surpasses the previous DLSS 3 Quality. NVIDIA also did not limit the new version of DLSS only to the RTX 50 series — owners of older RTX cards will be able to use it.
