The creators of Astroneer have presented a new project — Starseeker: Astroneer Expeditions. The developers are once again turning to the theme of space and exploration, but are focusing on a light, humorous style, far from the realism of Elite Dangerous or Star Citizen.
The authors emphasize that Starseeker is not a direct sequel to Astroneer. This is a standalone game with a different approach to gameplay. The emphasis here is on exploring planets and online co-op. Players can team up in teams of up to four people, although a single-player mode is also provided.
In Starseeker, the focus is on joint expeditions, exploring new worlds, and interaction between mission participants. The developers promise to make travel easy and fun, rather than overloaded with complex simulation.
You can watch fragments of Starseeker gameplay in the published video — the scenes start from the third minute. The game will be released on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Switch 2 and on Steam.
