The creators of League of Legends have released a new game — the fighting game 2XKO. The project has already received its first rating from IGN editors — 8 out of 10. Reviewers noted the depth of the combat system and especially praised the active tag mechanic, reminiscent of BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle.
Riot Games focused not only on attack but also on defense. The game features dodges, blocks, and a "pushblock" — a technique that allows you to push the enemy away. This balance makes the fights more tactical and dynamic.
At the start, 11 fighters are available in the free 2XKO. Players will start with six characters, and the rest can be unlocked through regular gameplay. Additionally, Riot will offer microtransactions — for skins and new heroes. The developers promise to regularly expand the list of characters in future updates.
Currently, 2XKO has been released in early access on PC. IGN noted that the only downside is the small selection of fighters, but the team is already working on it. In the near future, the studio plans to release the game on consoles as well.
