For many years, Frontier Developments has been creating large-scale economic strategies and tycoon games that still have many fans, despite the genre having long moved away from the mainstream.
After Planet Zoo, Planet Coaster, and the first two Jurassic World Evolution games, the team has earned a reputation as a reliable developer: their projects consistently generate interest.
Jurassic World Evolution 3 is a direct sequel to the second game, which in turn was an improved version of the original released eight years ago. The new game doesn't revolutionize the series, but it certainly perfects the formula. The launch was successful: the project is being called the most elaborate "Jurassic Park" game in the history of the genre and an example of how a series can evolve through gradual improvements rather than radical changes — unlike, for example, Civilization VII.
Sales results confirm the stable interest of the audience. Peak players:
- Jurassic World Evolution — 60 296;
- Jurassic World Evolution 2 — 20 993;
- Jurassic World Evolution 3 — 21 387.
The third installment had a slightly better start than its predecessor and strengthened Frontier Developments' position as one of the leading creators of economic strategies.
