Mouse: P.I. For Hire is not just another first-person shooter. The game from Polish studio Fumi Games stands out with its visual style, inspired by old animated films from the 1930s. The developers have released a new video explaining why the project is worth following.
The game's release has been postponed — it is now expected in early 2026. But Fumi Games is actively showcasing the novelty. During a joint Xbox and IGN event dedicated to indie games, the team showed behind-the-scenes production of Mouse: P.I. For Hire.
In the video, the authors explained how their project differs from other shooters and showed new gameplay footage. Despite the foundation of a classic shooter, the game does not aim to be a "boomer shooter." Each battle will change depending on which of the 10 unique biomes the player finds themselves in.
Fumi Games also confirmed the presence of modifiers and weapon upgrades that will allow players to change their fighting style and add depth to the playthrough.
Mouse: P.I. For Hire will be released on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
