Rennsport was advertised as a new discovery for the simulator genre, but now it is possible to assess what remains of these claims after the release.
The project has left early access and simultaneously been released on consoles, but the current version clearly needs serious improvement.
PushSquare harshly criticizes the new product on PS5. The editors note that the single-player mode is practically empty — although the game is focused on online competitions anyway. The main complaints are related to technical and visual problems. On PS5, Rennsport suffers from constant texture pop-in and an unpleasant temporal aliasing effect. The audio component is also considered weak.
Traxion writes that "Rennsport has a long way to go." The authors note that the PC version also requires many fixes — for example, replays "regularly crash the system." According to the editors, the project in its current state is not ready to compete with Forza Motorsport or Gran Turismo.
The situation in digital sales services is also not encouraging. On Steam, the rating remains at the "mixed" level — 45%. In the PS Store, PS5 owners give an average of 2.2 points out of five. Now we have to wait and see if Teyon can bring the game to the level that was expected.
