ASUS has released its financial results for the third quarter of 2025. During a discussion with investors, the company's CFO, Nick Wu, assessed the launch of the ROG Ally, developed in collaboration with Xbox. According to him, the market reaction has been "exceptionally positive," and interest in the device — especially in the high-end configurations — has significantly exceeded expectations.
Wu recalled that the first version of the ROG Ally was released two years ago and was an experiment that was supposed to open up the portable Windows PC segment. The experiment proved successful: the segment grew, and ASUS achieved its goal of creating a premium category and expanding the capabilities of the gaming division. Therefore, the third model, created in closer partnership with Xbox, was released in October.
The company notes that buyers are actively choosing the most expensive versions, and these are currently in short supply. ASUS is strengthening its cooperation with component suppliers to increase volumes and close the resulting gap. It is emphasized that the ROG Ally remains a key element of the gaming direction and should bring a significant increase in revenue.
According to forecasts, the launch of new models could add about 160 million US dollars to the report. ASUS expects that the contribution will continue to grow in the following quarters. Although many doubted that the device would find a wide audience at such a cost, the current comments from management show that interest has exceeded all expectations.
