The protagonist of The God Slayer refuses to worship the gods.
Pathea Games, known for the My Time franchise of cozy life simulators, recently showed gameplay of the project The God Slayer.
The game takes place in a steampunk metropolis inspired by the East. In this world, gods, known as Celestials, rule with an "iron fist" — once people angered them and paid the price:
Some inquisitive people found a way to use qi for themselves, turning it into elemental forces — fire, water, earth, metal, and wood. These craftsmen became known as Elemancers. The Celestials were enraged, considering this an illegal appropriation of what rightfully belonged to them. To teach the people a lesson, they launched a swift and brutal attack on the Zhou kingdom, the strongest in those lands. In one night, the king and many Elemancers were hunted down and destroyed. This day became infamous as the Fall of the Gods.
The action will mainly take place in the capital of the Zhou kingdom. The main character will be Chen, whose family was brutally murdered by the Celestials during the Fall of the Gods. The hero embarks on a journey to save his people and avenge his loved ones.
