Players have been provided with advanced tools for creativity.
The developers of the city-building simulator Cities: Skylines II introduced an asset editor in early December.
This tool will allow players to add their own complex assets to the game "at the level of official content."
This is not a "separate menu"; the editor will open on a custom map where you can work with multiple assets simultaneously:
There is no separate editor for assets. Instead, you have a scene where you can place and edit one or more objects simultaneously. If you are creating multiple assets, you can work with them all at once! By default, the scene is an empty green plain, but you can also open a map and add roads and trees to compare sizes and get a visual idea of how your asset will look in the game.
Working with large plots is now easier: you can simply enter the depth and width values of the plot for the entire building (maximum plot size is 1000x1000 tiles).
With the help of the tools, you can create "invisible paths" and "pathfinding areas" to provide access for citizens and vehicles.
Starting next year, instead of Colossal Order, the Iceflake Studios team will be working on Cities: Skylines II
