Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a complex RPG with a realistic medieval world. One example of its detail is the armor-donning process: several layers of clothing must be worn under the armor so the metal doesn't injure the hero. There were other ideas as well.
Warhorse Studios co-founder and game producer Martin Klima said in an interview that the developers experimented with a variable weight mechanic for the hero, which would have meant that not all wardrobe items would fit Henry.
In the game as we released it, all men wear clothes of your size. In principle, you can wear everything you find.
Some NPCs would be fat, others thin, and their clothes would turn out to be too big or too small.
The mechanic allowed the character to gain or lose weight so that the items would fit again:
When you eat, you get fat, and old things don't fit. Or you go on a diet — and the process goes in the opposite direction.
The system did not make it into the final version — it was deemed "too strange, labor-intensive, and not very interesting."
