The Canadian band presented an official AMV with the support of Crunchyroll.
Canadian metal band Spiritbox has released a music video based on the anime "Sentenced to Be a Hero: The Prison Records of 9004 Hero Unit," which is officially released in Russia under the title "Punishment for a Brave Hero."
The video features the composition Soft Spine, accompanied by footage from the first season. The music video was created with the support of Crunchyroll, which is the main distributor of the anime outside of Japan.
The plot of "Sentenced to Be a Hero" unfolds in a world where heroism has become a form of punishment. The main character, Xylo Forbarz, convicted of killing a goddess, is forced to fight hordes of monsters as part of a penal squad. Death is not liberation for him, but another turn in an endless cycle of resurrection and battle. Everything changes after meeting a mysterious goddess, launching a chain of events that could destroy the very system of punishment.
The anime is produced by Studio KAI ("Fuuto PI"). Hiroyuki Takashima ("Jobless Reincarnation") directed it, and Kenta Ihara ("Saga of Tanya the Evil") wrote the script. The project is based on the eponymous light novel and manga by Rocket Shoukai.
Currently, six out of twelve planned episodes have been released.
