Three studios owned by French publisher NACON - Spiders, Kylotonn, and Cyanide - have filed for insolvency. The decision follows the financial difficulties of the parent company, which also began creditor protection proceedings earlier this year.
All three studios have entered the judicial reorganization process. This means a temporary freeze on financial obligations and a monitoring period that can last up to 18 months. During this time, companies must develop a debt restructuring plan and take measures to improve their financial situation.
Spiders is known for the GreedFall series, Cyanide is responsible for the Styx projects, and Kylotonn worked on the World Rally Championship franchise games. Along with them, Nacon Tech, which specializes in motion capture technology, has also filed for insolvency.
Previously, NACON reported that the goal of the actions taken was to "analyze all possible solutions to ensure the stability of operations." The situation affects both the publisher itself and its key studios.
