Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV Developers Unveil Adeptus Mechanicus Faction Units
Players will be able to combine unit abilities to perform "combos"
The creators of the real-time strategy game Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV have presented an overview trailer for one of the playable factions. The focus was on the "Adeptus Mechanicus":
Early in development, we knew that the Adeptus Mechanicus faction would be relatively fast, excel at ranged combat, and possess a wealth of combat tools based on their unique access to technology. They will still have melee-focused units, such as Ruststalkers, but overall they won't be as focused on close-quarters combat as, for example, the Ork faction.
Instead, the developers explain, melee units will rely on synergy with ranged units. For example, a player can use a Ruststalker to trap an enemy and force them into melee, then order Skitarii Rangers to shoot targets.
To support the units, a fast, maneuverable Ironstrider Ballistarius vehicle has been added. The bulky, heavily armed Skorpius Disintegrator will also be featured.
For defense, a Void Shield can be used – player units can exit it, but enemies will not be able to shoot through the shield.

You can add Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV to your wishlist on Steam via this link. The release date has not yet been announced.
