Crimson Desert helped Pearl Abyss earn almost $179 million in the last financial quarter

Most of the game's revenue came from international markets.

South Korean company Pearl Abyss recorded record quarterly revenue thanks to the success of Crimson Desert. According to the studio's financial report for the first quarter, since its release in mid-March, the game has generated 266.5 billion won (approximately 178.9 million US dollars).

Amidst a successful launch, the company's performance surged: annual revenue increased by 419.8%, and operating profit by a staggering 2,584.8% compared to the same period last year.

Most of Crimson Desert's revenue came from international markets – they accounted for 94% of the project's total revenue. North America and Europe were the key regions, collectively contributing 81% of the game's sales.

Pearl Abyss also noted that revenues from the PC version and console versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S were almost equally distributed.
