AAAA-game for $3. Ubisoft sells off Skull and Bones
Ubisoft is selling off Skull and Bones for $2.99. The company called the game the first AAAA project in history - and people are already joking online that "each 'A' costs 75 cents."
Ubisoft had high hopes for Skull and Bones. The project was developed for many years, changed direction several times, and was supposed to become one of the company's key premieres. In the end, the game did not appeal to either the general audience or some reviewers.
Skull and Bones, however, continues to evolve. Ubisoft is not abandoning the project and regularly adds new content and updates. But there is no talk of any sharp turnaround in perception.
Now the game is part of a new promotion and is being sold at a 90% discount for $2.99 until May 26. This particularly contrasts with the statement by a Ubisoft representative who called it "the first AAAA game in history."
Players quickly picked up on the joke and began to calculate that each "A" was ultimately "valued" at approximately $0.75. Cruel irony, but it accurately reflects the community's reaction to past statements.
Despite this, Skull and Bones still has a small audience that continues to play. Even at such a price, the project can attract new players willing to give it a chance.
